Growing up in the middle-of-nowhere town known as New Egypt, New Jersey would make anyone want to catch the next bus to the nearest big city. After graduating high school with a whopping class of 92 students, Melissa headed to the City of Brotherly Love. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and top of her class from Philadelphia University with a BS in Graphic Design Communication and a minor in Digital Design. Using her five years of extensive professional experience in both design for the internet and print, she has become the lead graphic and web designer for Inverse Paradox, as well as the creative director for Inverse Paradox’s side project, Philly Beer Scene Magazine. When she isn’t in the office, Melissa spends her time officiating local lacrosse and field hockey games at the high school and middle school level, hanging out with friends, family and her husband, Matt.

Exclusive Interview

Which member of the IP team would you least like to be stuck on a deserted island with?
Neil. I see him enough as it is… and almost feel like we are already stuck on a deserted island together. I call it the office. Thank God there’s a wall that separates us most of the day.

If you weren’t a graphic designer, what would you be?
Probably a nurse. I like working closely with people, am very meticulous and caring, but also it’s probably the most stable field to go into these days.

Who would play you in a movie about your life?
Kaitlin Olson– she looks like me, and I’m pretty sure my voice is equally annoying as her’s when I go on rants.

The office would say that I am…
A control freak that knows the correct way to do everything… and will absolutely let you know when you’re “doing it wrong.”

What would be your last meal?
It’s a toss up between turkey tacos and pierogies with sour cream.
