Bacon Wrapped Scallops

1 1/2 pound large scallops

1/2 pound thin-sliced bacon

Extra-virgin olive oil

Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper


1. Heat the broiler.

2. Wrap each scallop in a piece of bacon and secure it with a toothpick.

3. Place the bacon wrapped scallops onto a baking sheet, drizzle them with olive oil, and season them with salt and pepper.

4. Cook them under the broiler for about 10 to 15 minutes until the bacon is cooked through, turning once.
