The Knowledge Graph

Google, Google, Google- you’re killin’ us here. Your algorithms are so secret, sometimes we aren’t even sure if you know how they work and now, lo and behold, you’re changing it again. Last week, Google announced their latest innovation is dubbed the “Knowledge Graph” which is posed to change the game of search engine rankings yet again.

Basically, Google has enhanced their search engine to augment search results with associated facts, an improvement that demonstrates greater understanding of queries. With this change, essentially Google becomes less of a search engine and more of an answer engine. So what does this mean for the rest of us?
